Gotha House of Culture
The Kulturhaus Gotha is the venue for opera, operetta, musicals, concerts, plays, entertainment and shows with the flair of the seventies. It was originally built as a cinema and opened in 1940 with the operetta film "Rosen aus Tirol". After a renovation in 1973, the building's heyday began as a district cultural centre with a new stage house, theater café and modernized interior. With its wood paneling, the hall offers a pleasant atmosphere and good acoustics. The Kulturhaus regularly becomes a concert hall when the Thüringen Philharmonie Gotha-Eisenach performs.
